"Eighty sheets just from a quid? I'll have a bit of that..."

Feeling brave? Then go for our Euro Quarters tip...

If you're up for a risky but potentially lucrative flutter this weekend, then look no further than the European Championship Quarter Finals. After the business of Germany v Portugal tonight, there are three games crying out to have a couple of quid on them. There's Croatia v Turkey, Holland v Russia and the corker we're all waiting for, Spain v Italy. If you stick a tenner on all the favourites (Croatia: evens, Holland: 5/6 and Spain 6/4) you'll come out with £91.67.

However, and here's the good stuff, if you fancy a triple upset, and all second favourites to win (Turkey: 4/1, Russia: 4/1 and Italy: 11/5), all you have to do is stick one of the golden nuggets we call a quid on it and you'll come away with £80. Fancy it? Then Lump On! here

Just don't come complaining when the inevitable happens, and the Dutch and Croatia win but Italy knock out the Spanish...

"I don't care how much they chafe son you're not going on the pitch like that..."

Champions League Final special…

It seems that Paddy just loves trying to thrust money back in your wallet. He just never stops with his money-back specials. And it’s no different this week, as good old Mr. Power is offering to refund all losing Win-Draw-Win, Correct Score, 1st/last/anytime goalscorer and Half-time/Full-time market bets if Ronaldo scores in normal time. Which, let’s be frank for a second here, is barmy given Ronnie’s record this season. Paddy obviously doesn’t fancy raking in the millions tonight.

Either that, or he knows something we don’t about the greasy Portuguese with foot Tourettes.

With that in mind, we’re not going to plump for him to score, as it would be entirely pointless. Though it has just dawned on us that that may be the exactly what Paddy wants us to do…

Nonetheless we’ll let ourselves be swayed by the bloke who’s clearly an Irish version of the demon headmaster and Paul McKenna. Because we going for Man Utd to win in extra time @ 9/1, so ten of the Queen’s finest will bring back a cool ton. Added to that we’re having Carlos Tevez to score first @ 13/2. A fiver on that wins £37.50.

So that’s another £15 less off we’ll be tomorrow. If you also fancy lightening the weight of your wallet, then join us and Lump On! here

The signs were always there when Dave wasn't even given a squad number...

FA Cup Final special...

That chap Mr. Power loves a good incentive. And Paddy’s come up with a good one for the Cup Final on Saturday. For Paddy Power are offering to refund all losing Win-Draw-Win bets on the game should it go to penalties. Which is nice of them.

As for who we’re tipping, well Cardiff at 4-1 looks a very decent price given that they had little trouble dispatching Premier League Boro in the quarter final. But we still fancy Harry to come away with his first bit of proper silverware. And as for goalscorers, despite looking about as ruthless as Frank Spencer all season, we still think David Nugent might have the last laugh. In other words, it’ll come off his arse in the last minute…

8.4...

We're sticking our neck out...

OK, so it's not exactly thinking outside the box, but it's the last Lump On! of the Premier League season and we just fancy winning a bit of Uncle Rico's moolah. And as you'll have read in our Weekender for this game, we don't expect much resistance from Steve Bruce's men when Wigan 'attempt' to stop Manchester United from winning the title. So we're going for a Ronaldo first goal and 4-0 win scorecast with Paddypower. The best thing is, if it ends 1-0 to Man Utd, Mr. Power will give you your money back. Hell, even Brucey should get on it...

"Gerrin, I can stock up on battered Mars Bars..."

Remember this chap?

He's the fella who was one of the first through the Stamford Bridge door when the big Russian first came along. He scored a couple of goals, and then he was one of the first back out again after he was sacked for testing positive for cocaine.

It's Adrian Mutu, and these days he plays for Italian side Fiorentina, who happen to be playing Walter Smith's Glasgow Rangers tonight in the UEFA Cup semi-final. So good luck to the only British side left in the competition, but we fancy that man Mutu to get on the scoresheet first, with Rangers clawing one back to head to Florence with a 1-1 draw.

Hands up who needs a stylist...

English dominance in Europe? Keep quiet about the UEFA Cup then...

While everyone is harping on about how great the Premier League is, it might be worth remembering the UEFA Cup. The situation the remaining English sides in the competition find themselves in is a sobering one. Everton are 2-0 down against Fiorentina, Spurs one goal behind before their trip to Eindhoven, while Bolton visit Lisbon needing at least two goals to win. So maybe the manic backslapping should at least be put on hold until the outcome of these games is known.

But if you still think the Premier League is the best thing since the phrase "best thing since sliced bread", then you might want to put your money where your mouth is. Not litrally though, because you don't know where it's been. But if you fancy all three sides to make it a full house for the English contingent in Europe, then with Everton at 7/2, Spurs at 7/4 and Bolton at 11/4, you'll pocket a cool £464.06 from just a tenner.

Fancy it? Lump On!

Which one will it be? Keegan's future depends on it...

One man to save his job, another to lose it...

If Les Dennis was to ask a random football fan in the street to give him one indesputable fact, 99 out of 100 people would respond with "Newcastle are rubbish". That one other person would simply ask why Les is bothering him in the street, since he no longer presents Family Fortunes anyway.

But before we descend into the merits of having Les back on primetime television ahead of that buffoon that goes by the name of Vernon Kay, let us advise you on a good bet for this weekend involving the aforementioned 'Toon Army'. Their home tie against Blackburn is not the type of game a team needs when it is low on confidence and struggling to get a first win under a new manager. And we reckon the outcome of the game will all come down to the first goal. They're great if they have an early lead to shout about, but go a goal behind, and St James' is not a fun place to be a home player.

So we've got two bets to lump on this weekend,

If Newcastle are to have a good day, Michael Owen will score first @ 5-1 and they'll go on to get their first win under the Geordie Messiah.

But if Newcastle fall behind early on, Benni McCarthy is likely to be the man to inflict the initial pain @ 11-2, before St. James' Park empties quicker than an old man's bladder.

Of course there are 20 other players who could score at the weekend, but we love a bit of melodramatic man v man action here at Catflap. Er, not like that...

Which one do you fancy? Take your pick here

We never thought we'd say this, but Lump On David Nugent!

It took a while for David to get used to Arry's new tactics board...

He’s a bit of a miserable sod Harry Redknapp all considering. With his Pompey side riding high in the league, still in the cup and with a new £9m young and eager striker in his side, he should be smiling like Dwight Yorke at a beach party. And even if all that doesn’t cheer him up, the fact that he turned down the Newcastle job should have him laughing all the way to a UEFA Cup spot.

And with a not-so-tricky-looking tie at Deepdale all that stands in Pompey’s way of progressing in the Cup, a few quid on them @ 5/6 is definitely worth a pop, especially with their impressive away form.

With Jermain Defoe cup tied, the hapless David Nugent should get another chance upfront. And despite playing like a blindfolded Titus Bramble all season, Nugent is a cert to score against his former side where at times he looked like Pele. Lump On! Nugent to score first @ 11/2.

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's a ruddy good striker who can do flips and everything...

Kenwyne's dramatic entrance from a helicopter was about to end badly...

His name is Kenwyne Jones, and in Sunderland they believe that he can actually walk on the River Wear. And when 40,000 fans pack the Stadium of Light tonight for the proverbial six-pointer against Birmingham, they'll be expecting more miracles from the £6m man. For it is a game so important that Rupert Murdoch personally ordered his underlings at Sky to screen the game so that he could watch it from his office in Australia. True story.

And I reckon the big man will deliver with a back flip, triple pike and full tuck. Oh, and with a goal. Paddy Power have odds of 9-5 for him to score at any time during the game, and 28-1 for him to score first and Sunderland to win 2-1. Get on! As they say in, er, England.

Make the bet here, or ignore everything i've just said and back Ginger Warrior Paul McShane to score an own goal at 40-1...
