So Southampton. Fancy their chances this season?

They need some money, but you never know, as with most English football fans, you’ve always got blind optimism. You could be staring the worst in the face and you’ll still think, “Nah, we’re gonna win the European Cup”.

 

Do you really, really hate Pompey?

To be honest when there was both Southampton and Pompey in the Premier League I thought it was really good to have two South Coast clubs up there. But now with Southampton going down and Portsmouth staying up it’s a different story, especially with Harry doing what he did, going from one to the other. It’s really upset some fans.

 

Is it fair to say Harry’s a hate figure there now then?

He is but I don’t begrudge him. I quite like Harry, I think he’s a very good manager. He’s a funny bloke too with a good sense of humour. And you’ve got to have balls to go from Portsmouth to Southampton then back! I can’t say I hate him.
