Do you get to many Liverpool games?

I don't but I'd love to. I'm hooked up for tickets and everything, I can walk into Anfield whenever I like, but that's almost really depressing because I can never get there! It's really frustrating. As soon as I get the time off I'll be up there.

 

Would you ever do an FA Cup final song?

It would be like the Anfield Rap 2008. It would probably be the best song ever.

 

Would you bring Barnes back?

I'd get Barnes back yeah, I like Bruce Grobbelaar's bit in that too.

 

What about an England song?

In 2006 people were already asking us about the World Cup and stuff.

 

It can't have been worse than Embrace's effort...
Yeah! (laughing) I'm mates with Danny (McNamara, lead singer of Embrace) so I'm not going to say anything bad, but it wasn't his finest moment! If you can get it right then great, Vindaloo was so sort of throwaway on the one hand, and a bit daft and a bit stupid, and that's why I liked it because it took the piss, yet everyone was 'Vindaloo, Engerland', there it is there's a tune.

 

Do you all follow Staines?

We went to the Staines FA Cup game, but it got rained off! We were there as celebrity fans with Russell Grant and Bobby Davro! You've probably never seen bigger celebrities than that at a football match!

 

Did you not catch the rearranged tie then?

We went to Jonathan Ross that night so we couldn't get there. It would have been good.

 

So following Robbie Williams' links with Port Vale, do you not fancy investing in Staines?

Well, yeah there's also Skint Records and Fatboy Slim who sponsored Brighton, so you never know, Staines Town sponsored by Hard-Fi, it could be it! I think Rich's heart is in Brentford though to be honest.
